For over 25 years families in Northeast Georgia have turned to Challenged Child and Friends when faced with the often overwhelming task of caring for a young child with a disability. Challenged Child and Friends provides high quality educational, therapeutic, nursing, and family support services to children with disabilities in an integrated environment.

We serve children with diagnoses ranging from attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder to spina bifida or Down syndrome. Reflecting national trends, we have seen a significant rise among children on the autism spectrum. Continued population growth, better physician awareness and earlier diagnoses are driving the increasing demand for our specialized services. Children with disabilities are served alongside their typically developing peers in an inclusive environment. We provide services during the school year and through our new Summer Sensations program.
